Some people believe that life happens to us, but I believe that our life happens because of the choices we make. Through our choices we are the designers of our own lives, which gives each of us the power to choose our best life. To really live our life to the fullest we need to take care of ourselves by adopting sustainable health habits. This means we need to make a conscious decision to be positive and dependable to ourselves. Achieving optimal wellness is possible when we aim to create balance between the six dimensions of health. Consider these dimensions:
- Physical
- Emotional
- Intellectual
- Spiritual
- Environmental
- Social
It is when our health is balanced that we have the opportunity to feel our best. I believe that physical wellness significantly impacts our ability to manage the other dimensions of health. This is why I have a passion for helping others create physical wellness. I know the benefit of having good physical health and its impact on total well being. I want to empower as many people as possible to design a life where physical wellness is not an option but a necessity they won’t live without. |
I am Andrea Ferguson, the owner of Life Designs Coaching & Consulting which I created to share my passion for Fitness and Nutrition. I believe that taking care of yourself by eating healthy and being active creates a positive state of being that gives you the energy and strength to live a healthy balanced life. I have earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics from UBC which qualifies me to be a Nutritionist. I am a BCRPA certified Fitness Leader and a Can Fit Pro Pre and Postnatal Fitness Specialist. I’ve also chosen to be a Fitness Leader for Fit 4 Two Pre and Postnatal Fitness in Surrey because I enjoy helping moms and moms to be to get fit and feel good. To compliment my nutrition and fitness training I also studied to become a Health Coach through Erickson College. I incorporate coaching into all my classes as I see incredible value in the power of positive thinking and goal setting. My most challenging position yet and one in which I have no training for is that of being a mom to 2 young children, Mackenzie and Jase. I believe strongly in being a positive and healthy role model for my children and hope to inspire others to be the same. I am also very thankful to be able to balance running a small business and family life because of the incredible support of my husband, family and friends.
