A friend of mine sent me an email asking if I would be interested in joining a boot camp class with her. I thought great; this will give me the chance I have been looking for. I needed the push as I always find myself making excuses to get out of exercising. I needed and wanted to lose an extra 10 pounds that was still there from having kids. I wanted to be healthy, more active and have more energy for my kids and I. I knew this was my starting point.

I started in June and boy what a struggle it was. I noticed that I was not fit at all. Andrea gave us various levels, which I found great. I started at the lower level and as the month went on I could see myself climb the levels. After a few weeks, I really started noticing changes; I wasn’t as stiff, had more energy and slept better at night. I am currently in my fourth month and I have noticed even more changes; weight loss, more strength, and muscles are showing.

I am planning on taking Andrea’s Nutrition class. I have heard great things about the class and I think this will be the big thing that will help me in changing my eating habits for the better. I am also taking her Nutrition class for Toddlers, as I need not only to improve myself but also need to know how I can help my kids.

I am a mom of two beautiful and energetic girls, ages six and three. I work three days a week outside the home and look after my best friend’s children once a week. I spend my time outside work running to and from various children’s activities. I have been doing Andrea’s Training Camp class over two months and hope to take a nutrition class in the future!

Back in May of this year, something inside me clicked, I decided it was time for me! I was tired all the time and lacked energy on a daily basis. I wanted to get back in shape and be healthy again. I felt a bit selfish but didn’t care; I deserved to have time for myself too! I signed up for some classes and talked to a few friends and who joined the class with me. Two months later we started taking Andrea’s Training Camp class and have never looked back!

Taking classes with my friends has been amazing. Not only do we get a little social time in but also push each other to do better. We have learned to inspire each other and to rely on each other on our good and bad days.

I cannot say enough on how much I love taking Andrea’s classes. She motivates us and pushes us to do the best we can. The atmosphere in her classes, even at the hardest points, is always great. Even when we are working our hardest we are still smiling! Two words describe how much I love going to Training Camp, Great fun! It is hard at times, but what you put in you will get out.

I have found my life again! My energy is back and I can run around and play with my kids without being tired. I am motivated to make healthy choices in life.

I am not dieting, I’m just being aware of everything I choose to put in my body. My family is starting to catch on as well. It is taking a little longer to convince my husband to give up Blizzards (every second night) but he is getting there too. I eat what I want when I want it, I am just conscious of it now.

My girls love to exercise now too! We rarely turn the TV on, but would rather go for a family walk or to the park to play! They see me making different eating choices and are also very interested in eating healthy.

I have lost 18lbs and well over 10 inches so far! My immediate plan is to lose another 5lbs. After that, we will see where I can get too. I want to be stronger and to tone my body. I want to have a CORE again. After two C-sections and an 11lb baby my core was gone!! It is starting to come back and with a lot more hard work, I can get to where I want to be.

My family has been really supportive in helping to motivate me when I need it and in giving me the time away at night to do this. I also find great support in Andrea and all the people that join me in class.

I am beyond excited about what I have accomplished so far and I have the guts to say out loud that “I am proud of myself, I feel good and I am starting to look better too.” My confidence is coming back!

Right now I look at everyday as a step in the right direction!

My advice to everyone is to take today in your hands, take the time for yourself, whether it is an hour a day or one hour a week — find the time for YOU!

We are the best role models for our kids and families. If we make better choices and decisions everyday they will too.

I am a wife to an amazing husband and father, and a mother to three beautiful kids. I have two girls and a boy. I have dedicated my life to my family and put everything I have into it. I have put myself on the back burner and in May 2010, I decided that it was time to do something for me!

For the past five months, I have completely changed my eating habits and started working out. I now make healthier choices for all my families meals. I started with an eight-week group personal training class with a couple of friends and during that time I also started Andrea’s classes. There is no looking back for me now. I have lost 35lbs in five months and I can’t even begin to guess how many inches. There are a couple friends and Andrea to thank for holding me accountable. They have all been there for me through the tough weeks and the great weeks.

If there is one thing that I could say about being committed and staying focused is to make sure you have that one person to hold you accountable. Whether it be a family member or a friend, it is so important.

I still have a ways to go to meet my final goal, but I have become a completely different person through this process. I would like to loose another 20-25lbs. Along my journey so far I have set a number of goals to help me through, and each time I reach those goals it is such an amazing feeling and I immediately set another one.

I wake up every day with so much more energy and feeling great! This makes our house such a happier place. If Mommy is happy and has more patience, the day goes by so much smoother! My kids have all noticed a difference in my appearance and my attitude. I can honestly say that this is the first time in years that I am actually proud of my accomplishments! This is a new way of life for me and there is no going back to the old ways! I can guarantee that.

If you are thinking of getting back into shape and becoming a healthier person, I recommend that you come to Andrea’s classes. She has an amazing group of ladies that attend her classes regularly and they all a support to each other in so many different ways. If you don’t have that one person to support you or hold you accountable, you will definitely find that person there.

Andrea is an amazing person and fitness instructor. Her classes are always fun and different every time. It does not matter if you have never exercised before or you are an amazingly fit person, you will always feel comfortable in her class and have a great workout.

Eat Right for Life, Fit 4 Two Pre- and Postnatal Fitness classes (with Andrea)

I've always wanted to be fit and healthy, but being a larger person, it has always been intimidating to exercise with skinny people. I decided that I’d try Fit 4 Two’s postnatal fitness program, which Andrea taught. It was then that I began my journey of accepting myself. It took over a year, Fit 4 Two prenatal fitness and my son before I realized that working out was only part of the healthy lifestyle equation. I took Andrea’s nutrition course and it opened my eyes to the fact that I believed so many false ideas about food. Thankfully Andrea’s clear instruction and handouts slowly changed our families eating habits and today we have completely implemented Andrea’s healthy eating lifestyle into our family. We have come a long way and know that each opportunity we have to be healthy is a choice. We appreciate having good information to base our decisions on.

To date, my husband has lost 30lbs and I’ve lost 26lbs. As a family we bike ride, hike and play outside regularly. My husband goes to the gym, runs and cycles four times a week and I am learning to run and I am running or walking four times a week and training to run my first 5K race in October of this year.

Thank you Andrea for giving us the tools to lead healthy lives and teach our children the same.
